Play as Jubei Yagyu and make your way through feudal Japan with your allies. This game has additional language support adapted from the original script. The story begins after Nobunaga Oda’s forces brutalize Jubei’s home village. Jubei discovers his destiny is to become an “Onimusha,” an Oni warrior, and is tasked with collecting five magical orbs (each representing a virtue) to defeat the demon menace once and for all. The narrative is a blend of historical accounts and magical realism and features a unique “gift-giving” system where Jubei’s actions and interactions with four potential allies influence which sub-characters will join his quest, leading to branching storylines and different outcomes.
